Nature Trails

If you love sport and open-air activity, Casa de Assumar proposes that you occupy your free time as follows:

Trip along the Monforte megalithic route (Dolmens - Anta da Serrinha, Anta Grande da Rabuje, Anta da Quinta de Santo António, Anta de Bósios, Anta da Carrajola and Anta da Gafa);

Trip to the Roman Villa of Torre de Palma(Vaiamonte), the footprint of a luxurious residence and a vast latifundia dating from the 1st to the 6th Century A.D.;

Walk around the area surrounding the House, where you will be able to appreciate the flora and fauna of the region and, if you so wish, have a picnic outdoors, organised by us;

Bicycle ride through the landscape. This trip is especially suited to adventurers and lovers of photography who, armed with their camera lenses and spirit of adventure, wish to enjoy the beauty of the Alentejo’s plains and record images of the animal species found and of the Neolithic vestiges dotted around this geographical area.
